§ 71.04. ESTABLISHMENT OF SAFETY ZONES, BUS STOP ZONES AND TAXICAB STANDS.

  • (A) The Common Council's Committee on Public Safety is empowered to establish safety zones of a kind and character and at places as they may deem necessary for the protection of pedestrians.
    (B) Safety zones shall be marked off and indicated by painted lines, discs, standards or loading platforms.
    (C) The Committee shall also have the power to establish bus stop zones and taxicab stands.
    (D) It shall be unlawful for the operator of a vehicle at any time to drive the same through or over or to the left of any safety zone so established as herein provided.
