§ 73.58. STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING PROHIBITED.

  • (A) It shall be unlawful to cause or permit any vehicle, other than emergency vehicles responding to an emergency situation, to stop, stand, park or remain in any designated emergency vehicle lane established pursuant to this subchapter obstructing the access and free passage of any emergency vehicle responding to an emergency situation or performing an emergency function.
    (B) A person operating a non-emergency vehicle may stop or park the vehicle for a period not to exceed 10 minutes for the sole purpose of loading or unloading a handicapped or otherwise physically incapacitated person, and once the loading or unloading of a person has been accomplished, the vehicle must be removed from the area.
